Fizzing and Foaming

Fizzing and Foaming

Walt: write a science report

My class is investigating chemical reaction between mentos and diet coke. We want to see what will happen when the two chemicals meet. All we know is that it will be messy.

The mentos was slotted into the diet coke. It reacted violently and it spewed out with foam, fizzed like bubbles on a milk shake and span like a spiral. The colour of it was a very nice colour of brown. The diet coke overflowed and made a big mess. It was amazing when the bubbles lifted the mentos pellets.

Explanation:

Mentos has pores, when it is mixed with diet coke it mixes together and makes a new substance. The gases are made up with bubbles, fizz and carbon dioxide (CO2). The bubbles and fizz try to escape from the bottle which erupts.

Walt: Solve Problems

In this game I was learning to revise pie and line graphs. It was a bit difficult at the start but as
I went on it got easier I got the first three right and knew the rest. You needed to know how to add and subtract. I can improve on this by learning more of it. I would like to learn geometry.

Perimeter and Area

Walt: Revise Perimeter and Area.

I remember perimeter is the distance around a shape or object.

You would use it when you are building and measuring. I remember Area is the surface of a shape or object. You would use Area when you are building a swimming pool. I have a Good understanding of it. In my studyladder results I got a score of 80% - 100%. To help me extend with perimeter and area I could do more examples to get better at it.
