The Order of Operations Millionaire Game

Walht: Use the order of operation BEDMAS to solve problems.

This online activity helped me a lot. I didn’t know what it was going to be like. I really enjoyed playing this activity. It gave me a real math rush that I just couldn’t stop. The difficult bits were not much really just getting the exponents right. Also when I went up higher it got a bit harder for me. I don’t think that I do lack a little bit of understanding I just need to be taught to refresh the memory. There was some that were challenging for me but more confusing. I can work it out mentally. I want there to be an online activity for LCM and HCF.

Walt: Reflect on my e asttle

This is my e asttle results that I got in my reading. I’m very happy with my results that I got. My score that I got was a 4p. I am above the national standard. I wasn’t expecting to get such a high score. The reason how I got my result is that I read the question and carefully chose the one I though was right.

Walt: study my e-asttle results.

This is my e asttle results that I got. I am over the moon with my results. In my e asttle test I got just above the national standard. I got a 3A which means level 3 achieved. In my to be achieved I only have 7 things to be achieved. I also have the same amount for my Gaps and that’s what I really want to achieve those. In my statistics I got a 5B which is quite good because the last test I got a 2A so I have really taken a big step. I am happy that I got that and now I can do more to get a greater result.

Converting fractions to decimals

Walt: Converting fractions into decimals.

In this game I had to convert a fraction into a decimal. In this picture I got the equivalent decimal to this fraction. I found out that I really knew the fractions with the numerator 10, 100, 1000 and 10000. I was proud of myself for getting 20 out of 20 as my final score. I really liked this game and want more like this.

Fraction Speedway

Walt: Add and subtract fractions and mixed numbers.

In this game you have to try and add and subtract fractions as fast as you can to win the race. You have to know your fractions, addition and subtraction. I really enjoyed this game and especially that I came first. All you do is add or subtract for example 1/4 + 3/4 which is one whole. I hope we can have a game that the denominators are not the same.

WALT: To make nets

This is my pyramid that I made in room 11. I thought it was a bit challenging because I have never done nets before but lucky I got help for my teacher Mrs.Ramkolowan. I had alot of fun making a pyramid but the only hard thing for me was drawing. If you want to make a pyramid you have to have a:

• Compass
• Ruler
• Pencil
• Pen
• Rubber

The next time we make nets I want to make a square based pyramid so I can do more nets.

WALT: Play Fraction Games.

I played this game and I really enjoyed playing it. The game is simple it has two levels and these are my scores. All I had to do is use the buttons provided at the top and to make it the same number as the Denominator then click it to make the right Number as the Numerator when you’ve done that click on the right one to make the bug move there but hurry because time goes quick. The next time there is a game I want it to be about Geometry because I really want to learn my Geometry.

My learning paragraph

WALT: Understanding Financial literacy  

I played a game with Angelina and it was all about Financial literacy. In this game the whole idea of it is understanding the words and knowing what it is. The game is  about picking up the card and then you read it and then match it and then put a counter on the one you think it is. The words that I really got confused with consumer, income, services, decision, trade-off,income, profit and choices and the other words I could understand which was cost, budget, goods, needs, wants, loan, spending and savings. The next time we learn something I want to learn Algebra.  

My Maths Results

In this game I think it was easy for me but it was also helping me learn my times tables. In this game you have to get all the candy in the levels whenever you get a piece of candy it gives you a multiplication problem or division. This is a very good game for me and I want more games like this. The idea of this game is that you can chose your own times tables and then you have to try answer it. The next time we have a game on our sites I want it to have decimals and fractions in it.  

My division maths

WALT: Division   

I got all my division right and I got Six out of six. In this game it really helped me understand how to do my division properly so when I get an answer wrong I just go on to the other question. It also helped me do my times tables I played it over and over again so I can get it all right. It took me a couple of tries but I finally got it all right. This game was pretty easy for me but it was a lot of fun playing and learning at the same time.On my next maintenance I want to learn my algebra.

I have been learning about fractions. Today we have learnt how to draw fraction of shapes in the drawing program. Sometimes it was hard getting all the fractions the same size.
